This rather simplified drawing shows some of the existing
buildings at Kennecott in the context of the Nicolai greenstone and the
Chitistone limestone. It shows the Bonanza mine at 4,000 feet, but what that
actually means is 4,000 feet above Kennecott, which is at the 2,100
foot level for track grade. Also, Bonanza Ridge tops out at about 7,000 feet,
not 6,000 feet.
