Chitina Hillside:
View is looking uphill from Main Street, Chitina.

This is the one picture of Chitina which actually
appeared on Northern Exposure in the early scenes of episode 1, season 6. I was the only one I know to catch this and properly identify it as a Chitina scene. Those are old converted CRNW speeders. The other scenes which accompanied this one were all taken in Roslyn, Washington. This is just one more confirmation of my assertion that mythical Cicely is partly based or at least influenced by Chitina. --RS |
